Our History

Coffee Republic was founded in 1995 by brother and sister team Bobby and Sahar Hashemi. The first coffee bar opened in London on the 6th of November 1995 and was a huge success. More bars opened soon after and Coffee Republic developed into a UK-wide brand.

Then they started to do something different with the espresso bars – they wanted fresh food to go with the great coffee. As a result they created the Coffee Republic Deli which is all about great, hand-made fresh food. Leading the way in innovation, treat yourself to the new Chocolate Republic with Toffee Crisp Sticky Toffee Coffee, Milkybar Mocha or Rolo Latte, yoggies made with 98% fat free yoghurt, Antioxidant Booster fresh juices and for summer why not chill out with a Chill-a-chino, chose from Jaffa Cake, Kinder Bueno, Oreo Cookie or Jammy Biscuit Shake.
